We have tried to contact all of your questions, however if we have missed anything please feel free to contact us.

Only visitors from an official SADC Country (Southern Africa Development Country) like Botswana, Malawi, Mauritius, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia, Angola, or Zimbabwe, will not be required to have a VISA.

If you do require a VISA, we recommend that you obtain your VISA before entering Mozambique from your local consulate.

A VISA can also be issued at Mozambique’s Maputo International Airport or International Border for approximately $50 [US Dollars]. To purchase a VISA, you will be required to present (a) a return air ticket, (b) a confirmed hotel or accommodation booking and (c) a letter of invitation.

We must recommend that you obtain your VISA before travelling to Mozambique as some airlines do not permit travel to Mozambique without a valid VISA.

Your passport should be valid for a minimum of 6 months from the date when your visa was issued, and have at least 3 blank pages.

We recommend plenty of shorts and T-shirts, plus a few sweatshirts for Summer evenings.

In winter, a jacket or sweatshirt will suffice, and even a warm water-proof jacket if available.

Personal items should always include mosquito repellent or room spray, aspirin, decongestants, shampoo, toothpaste, sunscreen etc.

Please remember to bring your electrical adaptors. Most international plugs will not work in Mozambique.

To enter Mozambique, visitors will be required to present a valid COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate or negative PCR test administered in their country of departure 72 hours prior to arrival in Mozambique.

Children under 11 years old are exempt from this requirement.

No mandatory quarantine if travelling with a negative PC test or proof of vaccination. If a visitor tests positive for COVID-19, or has been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, you will be required to self-isolate for a period of 14 days.

All visitors are required to provide their contact details to the Mozambican national authorities, at the airport.

Please note: All standard COVID-19 protocols remain in place e.g. including the wearing of face masks, social distancing, sanitizing etc.

If necessary, visitors are able to take a PC test at the local clinic in Ponta do Ouro, Mozambique. Preferably 48 hours prior to departure.

It is your agency’s responsibility to ensure that you comply with the latest COVID-19 measures as requested and/or required by the authorities in your country of residence and travel destinations.

When you arrive at Maputo International Airport, Mozambique, we will fetch and transfer you to Ponta do Ouro. 

Flights and Airport Transfers Please do not book flights until you have confirmed availability and we have confirmed your booking.

Transfer times are arranged – please let us know your flight times & details – we will meet you at the Maputo Airport.

Credit Card facilities or ATMs are available.

All restaurants, bars and shops in Mozambique accept Mozambique Metical’s [MZN] or South African Rands [ZAR]. Both options will normally appear on your bill. When paying your bill by Credit Card, a 5% bank charge will be automatically added to your bill. Remember to notify your bank that you will be travelling got Mozambique.

We recommend carrying some cash for emergencies, or when card facilities are not available.

Mozambique is a Malaria risk zone. Please consult your doctor to recommend mediation and remember to specify that you
will be Scuba Diving.

When travelling from a Yellow Fever country, you will require a Vaccination Certificate to enter Mozambique.

Dives missed as a result of poor diligence on the part of the guest will be forfeited and will not be refunded.

All dives missed due to bad weather or unsafe conditions will be caught up, and if not, a refund will be issued.

Please notify us of any special dietary requirements before your arrival, as some items can be difficult to acquire in Mozambique and will require extra planning.

We recommend having lunch and/or dinner at the Lodge, or trying one of the many local restaurants and their traditional tasty Mozambican cuisine.

We recommend consuming bottled water. Mozambique can experience extremely high temperatures so remember to stay hydrated.

Tipping is optional, but the accepted amount is generally 10%.
Tips for diving and lodge staff are optional. We would prefer that you provide your tips to management to ensure that all staff are remunerated equally.
